A shopper recently witnessed an amusing scene at a store in North Carolina where a squirrel was caught indulging in a "seed buffet". Many people prefer to do their shopping in bulk at large stores, and it seems even small animals understand this convenience.
At a Lowe's home improvement store in North Carolina, a strange incident occurred where the seed display area was ransacked. Unexpectedly, a shopper happened to capture the culprit on camera: a squirrel unabashedly feasting on a variety of seeds. The sight reportedly left store employees both amused and exasperated.
The TikTok user @_waffle_doodle_ shared a video showing the squirrel in the garden section aisle of Lowe's. The floor was scattered with various seed packages, some opened and spilling seeds. Upon closer inspection, the shopper realized a squirrel had sneaked into the store and was voraciously eating the seeds as if it were an all-you-can-eat buffet, leaving the viewer stunned by its boldness.
Interestingly, a store employee revealed that this was not the first time such an event had happened. The same squirrel—or perhaps its friends—have been raiding the seed display for several years. For the squirrel, this method of foraging is likely the most time- and energy-efficient way to gather food.
