Three Gray-White Fur Balls Rolling Around: Heartwarming Rescue of Abandoned Kittens

An animal conservationist received a call from a concerned citizen about several rolling balls of fur on the roadside grass, emitting strange cries. The caller was hesitant to approach the animals, fearing they might be wild. However, upon arrival, the conservationist discovered a litter of adorable stray kittens.

According to a report, John Debacker, an animal rescue worker from Long Island, received a call about mysterious gray fur balls rolling on the grass, making unusual sounds. The caller was cautious, suspecting they might be wild animals, and requested assistance. Upon reaching the scene, Debacker found that the rolling fur balls were actually a group of newborn kittens, less than a day old.

Given that feral cats are generally wary of humans and the mother cat was likely to return for her kittens, Debacker decided to gently place them back in a nearby feral cat den and observe. Unfortunately, when he returned the next day to check on the family, he discovered distressing news: the kittens were weak and struggling to breathe. Moreover, the mother cat had abandoned them, realizing she couldn't care for them.

Debacker immediately captured the kittens using a humane trap and took them to a shelter, where they were cared for by Deb Oliver, a dedicated cat conservationist. Currently, the kittens are living with Oliver, and plans are underway to find suitable adopters once they are strong enough, which is expected to be in about three months.
