Snake in Ice Pop: Unwrapping Reveals Staring Eyes, Melts into a Tragic End

Previously, a couple in Taiwan was shocked to find a large cockroach inside an ice pop they were eating. The manufacturer apologized and proactively removed all the affected products from the market. While finding cockroaches in food is not uncommon, as they often prefer the same foods as humans, discovering a snake in food is certainly unusual.

According to a report by The Thaiger, a man in Thailand recently purchased a black bean ice cream cart from a street vendor. To his astonishment, when he unwrapped the ice pop, he found a small snake frozen inside, staring at him with its round eyes. The man jokingly asked, "Little snake with round eyes, are you dead yet?" He then shared photos of the incident online, emphasizing that the ice pop was bought directly from a street vendor and that the images were genuine.

The post quickly went viral, with many users expressing shock but also humorously commenting on the situation. Some joked, "You must be a regular customer; this is a gift for you," or "This is actually the main ingredient; the rest of the snake was just finely chopped and mixed in." Another quipped, "New formula, high-protein ice lolly!"

Based on the snake's green and black pattern, some speculated that it might be a Chrysopelea ornata, commonly known as the golden tree snake, a mildly venomous species found in Thailand. The man later updated that the snake likely died due to being frozen for too long.

About the Golden Tree Snake

The golden tree snake is a species known for its ability to glide from tree to tree, primarily found in Southeast Asia. It is mildly venomous and typically grows between 70-130 cm in length. However, the snake found in the ice pop was likely a juvenile, measuring around 20-40 cm.

This incident highlights concerns about food safety and hygiene standards, especially when unusual items end up in food products. While some found humor in the situation, others called for an investigation into how such an incident could occur.
