Relieving Anxiety with a Dog, But It's Petrified in the Car

A well-known pet owner abroad once adopted a dog, hoping it would calm her anxiety. However, she soon discovered that the dog was even more prone to stress than she was. Many people find that pets bring immense joy and a sense of purpose to their lives. In the medical field, therapy programs involving comfort animals have been developed to provide emotional support through interactions with animals.

Recently, a popular American netizen shared a humorous video. The owner had initially adopted the dog to alleviate her anxiety but was surprised by the dog's unexpected reaction. In the video, a gray-blue dog is seen sitting in a car, its eyes darting around in terror, and its body shaking uncontrollably. It was clear that the dog was extremely anxious about its surroundings, prompting the owner to try and calm it down by stroking its head.

The owner couldn't understand why the dog was so afraid when the car wasn't moving and the windows were closed. She jokingly posted the video on social media, saying, "This is the dog I got to help me with my anxiety." Netizens humorously compared the situation to hiring an employee whose performance vastly differs from their resume. The video attracted over 18 million views, with many commenting, "Maybe you should get another comfort dog," "The dog must have lied on its resume," "Now you're the comfort person for the dog," "Anxiety treating anxiety?" and "The dog heals you in a very special way."

Some viewers expressed concern for the dog's condition, but the owner reassured them that the dog was just more anxious and was relaxed at home, as seen in other videos. Despite the unexpected experience, the owner and her family's affection for the dog remained unchanged.
