In 2023, Chile's animal rescue organization, Fundación Santas Patitas, rescued a stray dog named Don Luis who had been hit by a car. Despite recovering from the accident under the care of volunteers, Don Luis seemed to ignore everyone around him, leading the volunteers to believe he might be blind. However, after a thorough veterinary examination, the results left everyone astonished.

Don Luis, once a stray, was fortunate to survive the accident thanks to the dedication of the volunteers. Whenever they spoke to him, he would scan the room without making eye contact, prompting concerns about severe blindness.

The veterinary examination revealed that Don Luis had excellent vision.
