A man in Brazil recently encountered an amusing scene near his home: a small yellow dog being chased by a capybara. This unexpected interspecies friendship has captured the hearts of many online.
Thayler Aragão, the man who filmed the video, said he heard hurried footsteps in the woods while walking near his house. Upon closer inspection, he discovered a small yellow dog running, followed by a wild capybara. Despite the capybara's speed, it couldn't keep up with the energetic dog.
Both animals seemed to enjoy their playtime, and the video of this unusual pairing has garnered over 4.6 million views. According to Aragão, the video eventually reached the dog's owner, who revealed that the dog, named Marley, would often run off for a while each evening. The owner was unaware of what Marley was up to until the video surfaced.
Aragão added that Marley and the capybara played for about 15 minutes before Marley, perhaps tired, left. The capybara also went its own way, returning to the nearby river to rest.
Capybaras are known for their gentle nature and friendly demeanor, making them popular among humans and animals alike. They are often seen befriending various creatures, including cats, dogs, rabbits, and even crocodiles.
