Owner Injured by Dog's Hair! Tests Reveal "So Hard It Can Be Used as a Fruit Fork": Am I Raising a Porcupine?

Labrador Retrievers, known for their friendly and playful personalities, have once again captured the internet's attention. However, this time it's not just their lovable antics, but a rather unusual discovery about their fur!

A dog owner in Chongqing, China, who owns two Labradors named Duo Duo and Duo Ji, frequently shares their daily life on social media. Recently, she posted a video that has gone viral, showcasing a surprising characteristic of her dogs' fur.

In the video, the owner demonstrates that the Labradors' short, thick fur is strong enough to be used as a toothpick. She explains that she felt a pricking sensation on her leg, only to discover it was the dogs' hair embedded in her pants. Intrigued, she decided to test the strength of the fur by using it to pierce an apple. To her astonishment, the dog hair successfully skewered the fruit, holding it in place like a toothpick!

Netizens were quick to react with humorous comments:

  • "You probably raised two porcupines!"
  • "A new species of hedgehog dog."
  • "The moment the dog looked at the apple and drooled really made me laugh!"
  • "Dog ownership discouragement video."
  • "They hit people, step on people, bump into people, prick people, kick people, but they just don't bite people!"

The owner joked that while she had already considered the Labrador's tail a "dangerous item" after a previous viral video showing its surprising solidity, she was now discovering new potential hazards. She noted that the stiff hairs could even pierce sofas and curtains.

Despite these surprising discoveries, the owner affirms her love for her canine companions, acknowledging that she must embrace the "sweet burden" of caring for her unique, if slightly weaponized, Labradors.
