Cruel Cat Abuse Incident in Crimea: 24-Year-Old Throws Cat Off Cliff After Photo Request Denied

A heart-wrenching incident of animal cruelty occurred recently at a popular tourist site in Crimea, Ukraine. A young man attempted to pick up Musya, a well-known cat mascot at the location, but when the cat resisted, he callously threw it over the railing from a height of about 140 feet (approximately 40 meters) into the sea.

According to reports, a 24-year-old man stopped at the observation deck overlooking the sea and spotted Musya, a famous local cat. He tried to pick up the cat, but Musya did not like being held and struggled. In a fit of anger, the man tossed the cat over the barrier. Surveillance footage captured the moment when Musya was thrown, flailing in mid-air before falling into the sea. The man was seen leaving the scene with a nonchalant attitude.

Musya had been living at the location for over ten years and was a beloved local attraction. Many tourists would take photos with her during their visits. The news of Musya's cruel treatment has sparked outrage and sadness among many online.

However, in a surprising turn of events, Musya was later found alive. Volunteers and rescuers managed to locate the cat on a rock halfway down the cliff and brought it back to safety. An on-site examination by a veterinarian revealed no visible injuries, and Musya was taken to a veterinary clinic for further tests.

The man responsible for the act was detained and faces charges of animal cruelty. He claimed that the cat had annoyed him by "walking underfoot" and he had been traveling alone from St. Petersburg.
