The report pointed out that the four-year-old boy "Krit" was playing outside the house at the time. Halfway through the game, he showed a ball to his father. He hurriedly grabbed the bomb to his side, then put the bomb into a cardboard box filled with hay and wrapped it in tires to minimize the damage as much as possible.

The father then asked his son where the bomb came from, and the son explained that it was actually the 9-year-old Latte who picked it up. Jittakorn said that Latte is a golden retriever and Labrador mixed breed dog who likes to play with balls very much. She may have thought it was her son's new toy, so she picked it up to play tossing and catching.

Fortunately, the bomb did not detonate in the end. Bomb disposal experts determined that it was probably made by local gang youths and was abandoned on the roadside after being inspected.
