Spotted by the Road: "Cat Turns Its Head 180 Degrees" - He Exclaims: "Owl?" Unedited Photo Goes Viral, Sparking Claims of Unscientific Phenomenon

A Weibo user known as "Meowing non-stop" recently shared several photos taken in a scenic area, one of which has ignited considerable discussion among netizens. This particular photo features a white cat with heterochromia (two different colored eyes) that appears to have an orange body. The image shows the cat's head seemingly rotated 180 degrees, leading many to question its authenticity and suspect it might be digitally altered.

The photo quickly garnered attention online, with thousands of users sharing it. Comments ranged from humorous to bewildered, with some users jokingly referring to the cat as a "real-life owl" and others expressing disbelief at the extent of the cat's supposed transformation. One user remarked, "I thought this was some kind of cat radar," while another quipped, "This little cat looks like it has been pieced together too much, haha."

In response to the uproar, the original poster clarified that the image actually depicts two cats in a misaligned position. One is an orange cat bowing down while the other is a white cat standing in front of it. The similar positioning and distance between them created the illusion that the white cat had turned its head completely around.

Additionally, another photo shared by the original poster has also sparked interest among netizens. This image captures what appears to be a "crying cat," where a black cat seems to be shedding tears. However, this effect is merely an optical illusion caused by tree branches in close proximity to the cat's face, making it look like the cat is weeping.

This series of photos highlights how easily images can be misinterpreted online and showcases the creativity and humor of internet users when faced with peculiar visual phenomena.
