In China, there is a police bomb detection dog known for its affectionate nature. During training sessions, it becomes evident that this dog, named Xiaomi, not only performs well but genuinely enjoys being close to its handler. Each dog has a unique personality; some are independent and sensible, while others are lively and affectionate. Regardless of their temperament, they all express their love for their owners in their own ways.
Xiaomi, a four-year-old bomb detection dog from the Taiyuan police force in Shanxi Province, has developed a close bond with its trainer. Videos shared on social media platform Douyin showcase Xiaomi's playful and clingy demeanor, attracting a significant following. One particular clip shared on Chinese media's official Weibo account shows Xiaomi closely following its handler, mirroring every step—if the officer moves right, so does Xiaomi; if the officer moves forward, Xiaomi follows suit. Their inseparable bond resembles that of two companions rather than just a handler and a working dog.
Although this behavior is part of the dog's training to follow closely at heel, Xiaomi consistently looks up at its handler with a joyful expression filled with love. This interaction highlights that their relationship transcends mere duty; they exhibit mutual trust and companionship, suggesting a strong emotional connection.
"The dog's adorable actions have melted the hearts of netizens who commented: 'Its eyes are full of you,' 'Like a good dog that insists on walking beside you on the street,' 'The police department has regulations; I must stand on your left,' 'Well-trained,' and 'Two people three legs definitely first.' They affectionately refer to it as the cutest police dog."
However, it is important for the public to remember that regardless of how friendly or serious these police dogs may appear, it is best not to approach or call out to them when encountered in public to avoid disrupting their duties.
