In a remarkable incident in Bangkok, Thailand, a tabby cat fell from the sixth floor of a building and landed on a parked car, shattering its rear windshield. The car owner, Apiwat Toyothaka, had parked his vehicle beneath the condominium, unaware that his morning would take such an unexpected turn.
Early in the morning, at around 7 AM, Toyothaka received a call from the building's manager informing him that a cat had fallen onto his car. Initially confused and thinking it was just a minor incident involving a cat, he was shocked upon arriving at the scene to find his red MG with a large hole in its rear windshield caused by the impact of the 8.5-kilogram feline.
The cat, named Shifu, had been walking along the balcony wall when it slipped and fell. Despite the fall and the damage to the car, Shifu miraculously emerged with only minor injuries: a few bruises, two broken claws, and a swollen nose. The vet confirmed that there were no life-threatening injuries.
Toyothaka shared his experience on social media, expressing mixed feelings about the incident. He was relieved that Shifu was not seriously hurt but was understandably upset about his damaged vehicle. He humorously noted that he couldn’t stay angry for long since he himself is a cat lover and understands their quirky behaviors.
Ultimately, the damages to Toyothaka's car will be covered by insurance. The incident serves as a reminder of how unpredictable life can be and highlights the resilience of pets like Shifu, who managed to survive such a dramatic fall.
