The pet fan page "Cosmic Cats Paw Booom" recently announced that the beloved orange cat "Ram" has passed away after enjoying 15 years of life on Earth. Ram's owner, "Mumu An," shared updates on Ram's health journey, which transitioned from hope for miracles to the heartbreaking moment when the vet confirmed it was time for a final visit, leaving many fans in tears.
On the 14th, "Cosmic Cats" released a video titled "The Cutest Orange Cat Has Big News!" featuring a picture of Ram wearing a graduation cap. The video shared many messages that Ram wanted to convey. Ram arrived on Earth on March 23, 2009, made many friends, and began to influence human behavior around the eighth year of his life, promoting cat philosophies and achieving numerous milestones along the way.
However, at the time of the video release, Ram had already embarked on his next journey alone. "I am just changing my form to accompany everyone; perhaps we will meet again!" The video revealed that on January 5th at sunset, Ram chose to peacefully complete his final journey at home. In accordance with his wishes, a lively graduation ceremony was held while he was alive, attended by many who loved him. Surrounded by loved ones, he gracefully departed from his earthly body.
After reflecting on her emotions, Mumu An posted on the 16th about discovering signs of early kidney failure in Ram when he was around seven or eight years old. From then on, she diligently followed veterinary advice to maintain his kidney health. However, as Ram aged, chronic illnesses emerged, including hyperthyroidism and heart issues, leading to an unstable gastrointestinal system. At times it seemed he was stable, only for his condition to suddenly decline; fluctuating blood test results made each vet visit feel like a report card fraught with anxiety. By the last visit, his blood levels had spiraled out of control.
Due to his heart condition, Ram could not undergo subcutaneous hydration or blood transfusions as his bone marrow function had completely failed. In a gentle farewell whisper in Ram's ear, Mumu An decided to bring him home for a peaceful passing. "Actually, Ram really disliked going to the hospital; maybe he was happy not to have to go anymore," she reflected. When they set off for cremation, their vehicle initially wouldn't start; at that moment, Ram lay in her lap as if preparing for a regular vet visit. It wasn't until she mentioned cremation that the car finally started, prompting Mumu An to reassure him: "Ram~ you don’t have to see the doctor anymore; you’re all better now!"
