Cat Jealousy: The Orange Tabby Fights for Attention After Being Pushed Aside

The rivalry among pets is not a new phenomenon, but witnessing one cat physically push another away is certainly eye-opening. Feelings of jealousy are something many people can relate to; as children, it might have been towards parents, and as adults, it may extend to partners. Often, we wish that the attention of those we care about could be solely focused on us.

A recent video shared by a netizen from Guangdong, China, captures a humorous moment involving an orange cat. In the clip, the orange cat observes a human petting another cat and, unable to contain its jealousy, approaches and even knocks over a "jar of jealousy" by physically attacking the other cat. The scene resembles a palace intrigue, leaving viewers astonished.

In the video, a woman is seen petting a black and white calico cat lying on the road. Suddenly, another orange cat stealthily approaches from behind, seemingly innocuous at first as it squeezes between them, pretending to seek affection from the woman. However, in an unexpected twist, it suddenly kicks the calico cat with its right paw. The calico cat looks utterly confused, as if it has encountered a lunatic, and quickly vacates the scene.

The calico cat is left stunned by the sudden attack and appears bewildered about what it did wrong. Observers of this incident were equally taken aback by the orange cat's bizarre behavior, flooding the comments with reactions such as: "It seems casual but was actually a forceful kick," "This poop-colored cat is quite scheming," "Why kick other kitties?" "Jealousy makes cats lose their minds," and "What a naughty kitty!" Many were amused to see that one cat would resort to aggression against its own kind in a bid for attention. In light of such fierce competition for affection, it's wise to keep one's distance to avoid becoming a target of jealousy.
