A "Super Giant Creature" Stops on the Living Room Curtains; He Slowly Approaches, Then Suddenly Turns and Stares

Recently, heavy rains have been frequent, making it easy for uninvited guests like mosquitoes to invade homes. If a flying cockroach were to rush into a room, it would likely cause quite a panic. In Japan, a netizen shared a video of an unidentified creature that appeared in their living room. Although it wasn't a giant cockroach, the sight of this mysterious creature, resembling both a moth and a cicada, startled many when the owner brought their phone closer to record.

The user with the account name omitach2023 tweeted about this enormous being resting on the curtains. It unfolded its beautifully patterned wings, looking like a giant insect from the depths of the jungle. However, upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a bird! This "Bengal Eagle Owl," named Omitach-chan, is actually a pet owned by the original poster and has just turned one year old in January 2023.

Omitach-chan clung tightly to the netting on the curtains while spreading its feathers behind it, giving off an impression of being a mysterious insect. When the owner approached, Omitach-chan even twisted its neck 180 degrees to look around with its big, round eyes. The peculiar video attracted over 3.55 million views, with many praising how cool and cute it was. Some viewers even mistook Omitach-chan for an owl: "For a moment, I thought it was a bat," "A cicada?" "I thought it was Mothra (the giant moth monster)," "A moth with incorrect size settings," and "I rarely see owls resting like this... this photo really surprised me," and "I was startled; at first, I thought it was a huge insect."

Would you consider keeping an owl as a pet?
