A Thai woman, known as Amy, and her family recently experienced a thrilling adventure during their vacation. According to reports from Khaosod, Amy and her family visited Mae Hong Son Province in northern Thailand, seeking a closer connection with nature. They chose a forest lodge, specifically a secluded wooden cabin surrounded by misty mountains, offering a serene atmosphere. The cabin allowed them to enjoy hot pot on the balcony, creating a very relaxing experience.
However, their tranquility was disrupted one night when Amy's brother discovered movement under his pillow. Upon lifting it, the family was shocked to find two black snakes hiding beneath. They immediately notified the lodge staff, but before help arrived, the snakes escaped through a hole in the floor. The lodge staff later inspected the area and discovered that the hole was part of a snake nest, containing several yellow snakes. The lodge took responsibility and offered a compensation plan by waiving their accommodation fees.
A year later, Amy shared this experience on TikTok, but clarified that she did not intend to criticize the lodge. She noted that they were aware of the cabin's remote location and lack of solid walls or doors when they booked it, especially during the rainy season when snakes are more common. Amy emphasized that her intention was not to blame the lodge but to remind travelers visiting natural areas to inspect their accommodations thoroughly for safety.
