When I was young, I kept fish and often encountered situations where they would jump out of the aquarium. Sometimes, I could quickly put them back in, but there were also times when they ended up dried out. Eventually, I had to install a net to prevent the small fish from longing for freedom too much and losing their lives. Later, I found out that many fish keepers experienced similar situations.
A pet owner's koi once jumped out of its tank and nearly got cooked by the floor heating. The owner, who couldn't bear to lose the fish after raising it for many years, tried to revive it by putting it back in the water. The outcome was shocking. According to a report by Sohu News, a fish keeper in Shandong, China, loved keeping fish. One of his goldfish, which he had raised for four years, suddenly jumped out of the tank. By the time he discovered it, the fish was on the verge of death, lying on the floor with a large patch of skin burned off by the heating, revealing its pink flesh.
Seeing his beloved fish disfigured, the owner was heartbroken but didn't know how to handle the situation. He decided to put the goldfish back in the water. Miraculously, the fish began swimming again, despite suffering from third-degree burns and losing most of its skin. It continued to move its tail with great effort, showing remarkable vitality. However, the koi lived for only two more days before passing away. The owner decided to give it a grand burial to thank it for its companionship over the past four years and its final display of strength.
