“The Cat That Loves to Cuddle in the Rice Cooker” - A Moment That Makes You Want to Live Here... But Wait! How Will We Cook Rice?

Regardless of whether you have owned a cat or not, it's likely that you are familiar with some typical cat behaviors. For instance, cats are known for their playful nature and love for mischief. They often enjoy squeezing into small spaces, such as boxes. Among the various amusing cat anecdotes shared online, one particularly stands out: "the cat nestled in the electric rice cooker." It seems that the size of certain Japanese rice cookers is just perfect for a cat to curl up inside. This match is so uncanny that it can give you the impression that these products were designed for cats rather than for cooking rice!

A social media user by the name of @noguri0108 shares stories about their two cats. One was rescued from a shelter, while the other was found in a drainage ditch. Now, both cats live happily in their new home. Today’s featured cat is named Osushi. Each of the two cats has its own unique personality, but Osushi, a black-and-white cat, is particularly curious. One day, while its owner was distracted, Osushi quickly jumped into the rice cooker. The owner's first instinct was to take a photo! I believe anyone in that situation would do the same. After snapping a picture, the owner pondered whether this rice cooker might be too small for a nearly one-year-old cat. However, it turns out that they were overthinking it, as Osushi promptly fell asleep in a very comfortable position.

It appears that Osushi has already mastered the art of using the rice cooker as a cozy spot. In contrast, the other cat named Noguri is more timid and tends to watch from the sidelines as Osushi jumps into the cooker.

This brings us to our sharing today. Honestly, we also sell this type of Japanese rice cooker here, but I never considered using it as a cat bed! I wonder if anyone out there has actually bought a rice cooker to serve as their cat's home? Surely not!
