Cat Owner Shows Off Their "Twice as Big as Expected" Adorable Cat; Netizens Joke: "Looks Like It's Eating Too Well!"

This cat, raised from a young age, has undergone an astonishing transformation that caught the attention of many netizens.

The owner expressed surprise at how much Potechi has grown, stating, "I never expected this little guy to become so big..." Initially weighing just 700 grams, Potechi was estimated by the veterinarian to reach around 4 kilograms. However, as time passed, Potechi continued to grow and is now three years old, weighing in at an impressive 7 kilograms—almost double the original estimate. The owner humorously noted that Potechi has gained 10 kilograms since three years ago, leaving them astonished at this rapid growth.

Potechi's fluffy appearance has charmed many online, with users commenting on how cuddly and warm he looks during winter. The transformation from a small kitten to a large cat is akin to a "Mega Evolution." Other users shared similar experiences, noting that their cats also exceeded initial growth predictions; one cat expected to grow to 5 kilograms quickly surpassed that and now weighs over 10 kilograms. This highlights the variability in growth based on feeding methods and environmental factors.

Potechi is a mix between a Norwegian Forest cat and a Scottish Fold. Interestingly, his father is a Norwegian Forest cat weighing 5 kilograms, making Potechi even larger than his dad. Despite his size, Potechi seems unaware of his growth; he still behaves like a kitten. In one amusing incident, he forced himself into a cardboard box that was clearly too small for him and ended up destroying it while having the time of his life.

The owner has five cats in total, with Potechi being the largest among them. They frequently share fun photos of their cats on X. However, they also jokingly wish Potechi would remain smaller for longer; they fear that if he grows too fast, he might age quickly as well. The owner reflected on their previous experience with a Beagle dog that also exceeded growth expectations, emphasizing that pet care practices can significantly influence growth outcomes.
