This week has seen some lovely weather, and I've noticed many pet owners taking their furry friends out for some fresh air. The joy of spending time with our pets is truly wonderful (I can't help but feel a bit envious). However, there's a question that I wonder if pet owners are aware of: today, I'm sharing four signs that indicate "your dog considers you family." Do you feel close to your pet? Perhaps these four behaviors can help you determine just how close you are.
1. Eye Contact and Licking
Some dogs tend to avoid direct eye contact with their owners. However, if your dog looks at you relaxed and willingly, it signifies a deep sense of trust. If they also lick your face frequently, it shows that there is a profound love and trust between you and your dog.
2. Following You Everywhere
If your dog is very clingy and insists on following you wherever you go, it indicates a strong reliance on you. This level of closeness can be akin to considering their owner as a family member (like a mother), wanting to be by your side at all times.
3. Sharing Toys
When your dog brings their favorite toy to you, it represents trust and affection. They are inviting you to play with them, which is a clear sign of their fondness for you.
4. Sleeping Close to You
If your dog enjoys snuggling up to you while sleeping—whether lying on top of you or resting by your feet—this behavior is an expression of love and trust. It shows that they feel completely at ease and are comfortable enough to relax next to you.

These are the signs I wanted to share with everyone today. If your dog only appears when it's time for food and spends the rest of the time playing alone, then perhaps they aren't as close as one might hope~ Just a thought (chuckles).
