Anyone who has pets probably knows how much they shrink when their fur isn't dried properly after a bath. The more fur they have, the bigger the difference. That puffy, cute look isn't because they've gained weight; it's all fur!
Before and After: Kankichi's Transformation
A Twitter/X user "@KUwdn" named Momo (Kankichi's mom) uploaded a photo of her cat after a bath, revealing its true size. The umbrella-like fur looks like some kind of marine creature!? (Or even a mop.)
初めての炭酸泉🛁お湯ができる時から興味津々の勘吉さん😳最初はシュワシュワして驚いたけど、ゆっくり浸かってました😊

The owner says its volume is only 1/3 of its original size when wet, a noticeable difference from before the bath. That ruff around the neck looks so warm!
And after the bath, it looks completely different, like a different cat!
About Siberian Cats
This Siberian cat named Kankichi is female (why that name, though?), and Siberian cats are said to be the ancestors of all long-haired cats. Unlike common short-haired cats, their long, thick fur can withstand the cold. A rug like this is needed in winter. It seems like these long-haired cats can't live without air conditioning.
Siberian cats are known for their friendly and patient temperaments, having a calm yet playful personality. They are also intelligent and energetic, requiring lots of mental stimulation. Their adaptable nature allows them to adjust quickly to new environments and family members.
Caring for a Siberian Cat
Siberians have a three-layered coat that only needs to be brushed once or twice a week to avoid tangles and matting. Regular grooming is essential, especially during molting seasons.
These cats are athletic and love to climb and explore, so providing a stimulating environment is crucial.
