Politician Attacked by Horse on Camera, Miraculously Only Slightly Hurt

Tanaka Kumi, a councilor from Ōmu Town in Hokkaido, Japan, is known for sharing her farm life and promoting local tourism through YouTube and Twitter. Recently, while taking a selfie with a horse, she was unexpectedly knocked down by the horse's headbutt. The incident occurred when the horse was startled by a bird and turned suddenly, striking Tanaka's face.

This dramatic event was captured on camera and quickly sparked online discussions. Fortunately, Tanaka suffered only minor injuries. She had been using social media to introduce her hometown's agriculture and animal husbandry even before becoming a councilor. After her election in April, she continued to create content to support these industries and attract tourists.

Tanaka recently posted a video feeding apples to horses but encountered an unexpected situation while filming another video. She was headbutted by a grazing horse that seemed to be startled by a bird. The sudden movement caused the horse's head to strike Tanaka's face, knocking her to the ground.

After the incident, Tanaka posted an update saying she was not seriously hurt, though her forehead, right cheek, and lips were bruised. She joked about the incident with a pharmacist, highlighting the unexpected dangers of interacting with animals.

This incident serves as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of animals, even when they appear friendly.
