It Turns Out "Snoopy" Really Exists!? Japanese Influencer Shares Adorable Dog Photos, Netizens Exclaim "This is the Real Snoopy!"

Let's start with a question: Do you know what breed the famous American cartoon character Snoopy is? In fact, when Charles Schulz created this lovable dog, he based it on the Beagle breed. However, because Snoopy's appearance differs significantly from typical Beagles we see, many people remain skeptical.

While exploring whether Snoopy is indeed a Beagle isn't the main focus of this article, it's interesting to note that in Japan, there are dogs that resemble Snoopy quite closely. Recently, a Twitter user named Ritter🦁&Mopsy🐼&Aster🐻 (@Leonberger__R) shared a photo of a white dog that caught the attention of many Japanese fans. From the angle of the photo, the dog not only has white fur but also slightly long hair, black ears, and an oval face shape, all of which are reminiscent of Snoopy. The dog's lazy sleeping posture is almost identical to Snoopy's.

Comments from other users included comparisons with their own Snoopy plush toys. However, joking aside, the dog in question is not a Beagle but an Old English Sheepdog named Mopsy, which was adopted in January 2022. Although Mopsy is an Old English Sheepdog with more than half of its fur being gray and black, the photo angle made it look uncannily like Snoopy. After being shared on Twitter, the photo quickly went viral, with many fans exclaiming, "This could be a live-action version!"
